A few reasons why I believe GMAT Boost is a great fit for anyone
I've scored a 780 on the GMAT, overseen math content for a major GMAT prep company, and tutored many GMAT students. I'm extremely familiar with the GMAT Math section and with what it takes to be successful on the test. I've seen that working through and then reviewing difficult questions is the most effective way to study, and I've identified dozens of small insights students sometimes overlook that can mean the difference between right and wrong, or between 1 minute and 3 minutes. I've created GMAT Boost in order to gather everything I've learned in one place, and to make it accessible to as many people as possible. I genuinely don't believe that there is any other resource like it.
A new kind of test prep
Instead of rehashing all the basics and telling you how great "plugging in numbers" is, GMAT Boost shines a light on the many small but important insights that cumulatively determine success or failure on the GMAT Math section. In each video explanation and tip, I aim to show you not just what you need to do, but how to do it and why it's a good idea. That's the advantage of a video, compared to a block of text. And if anything is unclear, point it out to me and I'll make it better.
GMAT Boost is built to fit into every GMAT study plan. If you're just getting started, or if you're not even sure if you'll take the test, GMAT Boost is a great way to get a feel for GMAT question types (Problem Solving vs. Data Sufficiency), topics, range of difficulty, etc. If you're taking or planning to take a full prep course, GMAT Boost is a great complement. You'll find harder questions than most courses offer, as well as tips that build on rather than duplicate the knowledge you'll gain during the course. And if you've decided to prep entirely on your own, GMAT Boost will give you insights and techniques that reinforce and go beyond what you'll read in your math workbooks.
Focus on doing one thing well
While other test prep companies try to be everything to everybody (SAT/GMAT/LSAT/GRE, Math/Reading/Reasoning/Grammar, live/online/books/tutoring ....) GMAT Boost is focused on one thing only: online resources that will help you raise your GMAT math score.
Ability to work at your own pace
The video format allows you to pause, replay, interrupt, and skip ahead while you watch video tips and explanations. Spend exactly as much time as you want learning about each question/topic.
Difficult practice questions
Whether you're aiming for a 600 or a 700, you'll benefit from the many challenging questions on GMAT Boost (every question has a difficulty rating, from 1-Easiest to 5-Hardest). Most resources, including the Official Guides, have few if any questions that are as difficult as 700-level GMAT math problems. The more tough questions you work through and understand now, the lower the probability you'll be caught off guard by something you've never seen when you take the test.
You can access GMAT Boost anytime, from anywhere with an internet connection. You don't have to carry around a book, so it's perfect if you travel a lot for work.
I strive to better the product every week based on suggestions from users. Every month, I will add up to 10 new tips and/or questions on topics that users want to see more of, so make sure to let me know what you'd like to see. And if you have an idea for how I can improve the site, share it with me. There's a good chance I'll try to make it happen.
GMAT Boost is not only powerful, but also affordable. In order to get GMAT Boost into the hands of as many users as possible, I've decided on an introductory price of $10. This makes GMAT Boost substantially less expensive than many other available GMAT prep products.
